Due to multiple eye injuries, Kosei Tanaka has retired from professional boxing.
He contested 22 times in his pro boxing career, winning 20 and losing twice. 11 of 20 wins came by KO.
His final boxing appearances resulted in a standard decision loss against Phumelele Cafu in October 2024.
In 2016, he won the WBO junior-flyweight title and held it until 2017. His first career defeat came against Kazuto Ioka in late 2020 to Kazuto Ioka.
Tanaka turned professional in November 2013. He never fought outside Japan as a pro.
Monster of Chukyo would have fought more fights, but its eye injuries made him retire at a young age of 29.
