Turki Alalshikh, the leading person in organising top boxing fights, has cleared it on X that Tyson Fury is coming back to fight under the Riyadh Season banner in 2026.
Fury, after losing twice in close contests to Oleksandr Usyk last season, felt that he should have won both fights.
Even a section of fans feels that Fury won the second fight by a close margin. Uysk is facing Daniel Dubois on 19 July to become the two-time undisputed heavyweight champion.
Alalshikh said: “The ‘Gypsy King’ will be back.”
“I talked with him, and I have his word to have him in Riyadh season in 2026. We have a rabbit to hunt.”
Fury calls Usyk a rabbit; hence, it makes it clear that a third fight is possible. Even Usyk said in the pre-match buildup for his Dubois fight that he is open to the third battle with Fury.
This time, the fight could land in England. With Uysk fighting in July, there are fewer chances of him battling in the later part of this year. Hence, the battle in 2026 seems possible between two modern greats.
Fury winning the battle would be great for his career to end it on a fine note and make the Anthony Joshua fight bigger.
