Rolly Romero had a perfect Friday last week, beating Ryan Garcia in a 12-round contest. Romero was not the favourite to win the fight, and many fight experts were predicting him to lose via a knockout.
However, Romero went on to have 12 rounds and beat Garcia with ease. Even in the second round, he put down King Ryan.
Romero, who gave Garcia his career’s second-ever professional defeat, told The Danza Project that Turki Al-Sheikh went to Garcia’s corner and told him to punch more.
Romero said: “Turki went to him in his corner and said, ‘What are you doing? Throw some punches.”
Rolly Romero had a habit of losing the fight via TKO when facing top-quality boxers like Gervonta Davis and Isaac Cruz.
Hence, it was predicted to see something similar happening. However, beating Garcia has shocked the world.
