Mark Tibbs, who is the trainer of Johnny Fisher, feels the comeback of his heavyweight boxer is possible. Fisher faced David Allen last Saturday, losing the rematch via a fifth-round knockout.
It was Fisher’s first defeat as a pro, with his record now standing 13 wins and one defeat. Fisher is known for his ability to sell tickets. But having less amateur boxing experience cost him a lot.
Even when they met in December 2024 in Saudi Arabia, Fisher got the decision victory, but most fight fans were saying that David Allen was robbed.
While losing to Dave is not good as even he was making a comeback.
Tibbs told Ring Magazine (Youtube): “Let’s hope we can get back a good rebuild program in place, and less stress off it as well. And Dave’s done it, and look where he’s gone, Dave’s put himself in position to go again for the same amount, even bigger money now. Credit to him, good luck to him, he deserves it.”
Johnny’s trainer wants him to have some easy fights to improve overall, and then try for the mega fights. Being only 26 years old, he has years to make a possible and better comeback.
