Jake Paul Influencer Boxing Retirement Is Myth Or Reality

Just like the top boxers Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez, and Gervonta Davis, Jake Paul is also known as a massive pay-per-view seller.

But there is a major difference between Jake and other high-profile boxers. The famous social media personality is one of the rare influencers to become good at boxing.

While KSI and Logan Paul do not take professional boxing consistently, Jake has given it all for the game and has earned respect.

However, his contradictions in various statements make it hard to understand if Jake Paul influencer boxing retirement is a reality or not for some fans.

But in November 2024, Paul made it clear that he had taken retirement from influencer boxing.

They shared the very latest update on Instagram, via his promotional arm.

The aim is to tell the world that Jake is a professional boxer and should get respect in the very space.

So, has Jake Paul retired from boxing?

No, Jake Paul has not retired from professional boxing. But he did say goodbye to the influencer boxing world in November 2024.

The move came with a bittersweet moment for his fans. On the one hand, he might go for winning the professional title in the cruiserweight division in future. On the other hand, the Jake Paul vs KSI mega influencer fight would not happen anymore.

Jake Paul In the Professional Boxing World

For a random person, turning professional in boxing is a hard job as it takes years to become a world beater. In the case of Jake, it started on 30 January 2020, when the American celeb beat AnEsonGib via a first-round knockout at The Meridian at Island Gardens in Miami.

Unlike fighting fellow influencers, Paul made a power move. He started to face MMA stars who had just retired or were on the decline. But as they know how to strike, it did make an even surface.

But before battling against MMA stars, Jake faced former basketball star Nate Robinson and won the fight on 28 November 2020 via a first-round knockout.

His first move was to beat Ben Askren, who was a better wrestler than a striker, in April 2021. But then, Jake beat Tyron Woodley twice before defeating Anderson Silva in October 2022.

Back then, his claim was simple. Every great boxer of the present time fought journeymen while growing up in their first 10 to 15 fights.

But he is battling against MMA stars, who are far better than journeymen. And this claim worked well in a bit.

His first real fight was against Tommy Fury, who was fighting pro boxers, on February 26, 2023. But Jake lost a close fight against Tommy. But this made him earn a lot of respect.

He then had some easy fights against Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland and Mike Perry before beating decades-retired Mike Tyson in November 2025.

He will next face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, who is a former boxing world champion, on June 28, 2025. But there is a catch, Chavez Jr had already lost to Anderson Silva, a fighter Jake had beaten.

But Jake claims that Chavez is 39 years old, which is not too much in boxing.

It is hard to predict the next move of the American social media star, as he was very close to landing the Canelo fight, which is no joke.

As Jake is in his late 20s, there is a mega chance to become the boxing champion in future. He has great punching power. Plus the ability to learn is something many boxing trainers like about him.

Final Take

There is no doubt that Jake Paul loves boxing. But he is a PPV star. Hence, any move might be possible. The fight against KSI is the only way that might make Jake return to influencer boxing space. Otherwise, the professional boxing is his only goal.

Will Jake return in Influencer Boxing to fight KSI ever?

After Jake lost to Tommy Fury, KSI fought Tyson’s famous brother in October 2023. Officially, KSI lost the fight. But most of the fight fans felt that KSI won the contest.

Not to forget that KSI beat Jake’s brother Logan Paul, on 9 November 2019. The fight can generate mega sums, so there could be a chance for a possible KSI fight.

However, Paul aims to become a top professional boxer and hold one of the four belts.

Does Jake have a Future in Pro Boxing?

First of all, Jake Paul’s influencer boxing retirement means that he is taking the pro game with a serious nature. However, he is yet to fight a credible name, which can make him closer to fighting a world-title holder.

He stays at the boxing gym, polishing his skills. As he can sell pay-per-view with ease, there are high chances of him landing a huge title shot in the future.

But first, he has to fight that boxer who can make his ranking better.

Where does Jake Paul live?

He has a base in Los Angeles. But due to boxing training, he keeps on moving.

Will Jake Paul vs Floyd Mayweather happen?

In the last three to four years, there have been whispers of Jake vs Mayweather. But no official statement has come yet.

Is Jake Paul suspended?

Jake Paul holds no suspension in the world of boxing. He does give many doping tests before a fight. It indicates his goal as a clean boxer.
