Gareth A Davies, who is a famous British boxing journalist, told IFL TV (YouTube channel) that a fight between Conor Benn and Ryan Garcia will be a massive stadium fight in the United Kingdom.
Both Benn and Garcia have lost their previous fight recently. Benn faced a close 12-round defeat to Chris Eubank Jr, while Garcia faced humiliation over 12 rounds against Rolando Romero last Friday.
It is crucial to point out that Benn jumped two divisions for a fight against Chris Eubank in late April. But Garcia’s defeat came as a major shock.
Meanwhile, Benn has said many times after the fight that he wants to have the rematch with Eubank Jr first, which can take place in September. The first fight at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium went well overall last month.
Gareth A Davies said: “Ryan Garcia, I think you throw him in with Conor Benn right now over here in the UK. Because I’d love to see that, if they aren’t going to go ahead straight away with the Chris Eubank-Conor Benn fight, which Eddie Hearn says they’re going to do, and that’ll probably be late September, I imagine, late September-October, when there’s still time to get outdoors because they need a stadium fight.”
Ryan Garcia might have a tune-up fight later this year. This might make him ready for Benn fight in future.
