Frank Warren has said to the media that Joseph Parker will face Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois winner. Usyk v Dubois 2 is taking place at Wembley Stadium on July 19.
The fight is to get the undisputed heavyweight world champion between Usyk and Dubois. Back in 2023, both fighters did battle for the first time. It was Usyk who won the fight.
Dubois was all set to face Parker on 22 February 2025, but he pulled out of the fight due to sickness. Dubois, who holds the IBF belt, felt that Usyk did cheat when they first met.
The Brit still feels his body shot was not a low blow. Warren, who is the promoter of Dubois, said that the winner of the mega fight in July has to face Parker.
Warren told Sky Sports: “With Joe Parker, the WBO just put a mandate out saying that the winner of this fight (Usyk v Dubois) has to defend against the WBO mandatory challenger, which is Joe Parker.”
Usyk, who is unbeaten as a professional boxer (23 wins, 23 fights), is aiming to become the two-time undisputed heavyweight champion.
