Eddie Hearn, who is the promoter of Anthony Joshua, feels that Tyson Fury vs AJ can still happen.  Fury lost to Oleksandr Usyk twice in 2024, deciding to retire from professional boxing.

However, Fury felt that he did win the second fight against Usyk, which took place at the Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 21 December 2024.

AJ lost to Daniel Dubois in a fifth-round KO at Wembley Stadium on 21 September 2024. As both fighters lost their world title fights in the heavyweight division in 2024, many fans were thinking that Fury vs Joshua would finally take place somewhere in 2025.

However, Fury has not shared any update on coming back to the boxing ring.

Meanwhile, Joshua is healing from an injury and looking to make a comeback.

Back in 2021, both fighters were very close to agreeing on a two-fight deal. However, Fury lost the case against Deontay Wilder and had to fight him in a trilogy in October 2021.

This was the best chance to make the fight. But Hearn still feels the mega battle can happen.

Hearn told BBC Sport: “This is the kind of fight that probably gets made over a DM between the two or a text or a call.”

“It’s like ‘look, do you fancy it?’ That’s it. And then, bang, it’s done.”

Fury versus AJ, in many boxing pundits’ opinions, is still a massive fight in the boxing world.
