Lyndon Arthur will face Anthony Yarde at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26th. The light heavyweight trilogy is a part of the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn undercard.
Arthur, 24-2 (16 KOs), faced Yarde, 26-3 (24 KOs), for the first time on 5 Dec 2020. Yarde lost the fight via Standard Decision.
The rematch then took place on 4 December 2021, where Yarde beat Arthur in the fourth round (via KO).
The third fight between British rivals has become crucial as winning the fight could hand the light heavyweight title shot in future.
Arthur told Boxing Now: “I don’t wanna lose. I never wanted to lose but now I really, really, really, really, really don’t wanna lose,”
“I know he can beat me because he’s done it. I know I have to be on point and switched on the whole time I’m in the ring with him.
“I don’t care what people say. The don’t have to watch it if they don’t want to see it. Either way, it’s happening.
“With where the light heavyweight division is, I think it’ll speak for itself what will happen for the winner. There’s a lot of big fights both domestically and worldwide. I think Bivol is fighting Beterbiev again and I think the WBC title has gone to Benevidez so I think there’s gonna be fights everywhere.”
As both fighters are looking for a world title shot, losing the fight might be career-ending.
