Eddie Hearn feels that Chris Eubank Jr missing to come under the middleweight division (weight) shows how unprofessional he is taking things ahead of the mega clash against Conor Benn.
Eubank Jr did miss the weight by a small margin, 0.05 lbs. But he still has to pay a fine of £375,000. Missing the weight before the fights is never seen as a good sign.
Hearn felt that there was no mistake from their end. It was Eubank Jr who should have taken care of things well.
Hearn told The Stomping Ground: “Listen, he wants to play the victim all the time. Oh, this is Eddie Hearn doing this to me. You’re the IBO 160-pound world champion. You’ve done it in the last five fights. You couldn’t make weight today. Accept it. It’s unprofessional.”
The 35-year-old boxer has fought in the middleweight division mostly in his recent professional career. However, many experts do feel that super-middleweight is the division for him to compete in.
