Hamzah Sheeraz, who is one of the biggest rising boxing stars in Britain, feels teaming up with Andy Lee will bring him great returns.
The 25-year-old boxer has left American trainer Ricky Funez for Lee, who is also the trainer of Joseph Parker.
Sheeraz said (The Ring): “I believe that this is the right move for me.”
“I’m looking forward to going out to Dublin and training with him.”
On 22 February 2025, Sheeraz drew against Carlos Adames. He has won 17 of his 21 fights via KO, with just one draw and no losses in a total of 22 contests.
Last year, Sheeraz defeated Liam Williams, Austin Williams and Tyler Denny. Beating three well-known boxing names made him earn respect in the middleweight division.
However, he drew the WBC middleweight title fight against Carlos Adames. As a result, he decided to switch his boxing trainer.
In March 2025, an update came that Sheeraz will now fight in the super middleweight division due to a weight issue. However, there is no update about his next fight yet.
