Chris Eubank Jr is showing the signs of struggling to make the weight for the middleweight clash against Conor Benn on Saturday.
The 35-year-old boxer missed the weight by 0.05lb. He did not manage to come inside the 11st 6lb limit, missing the weight by 0.2lb on the first go.
For the second chance, he went way past the limit. Benn did come light, weighing around 11st 2lb. Not to forget that this is the first of Benn in the middleweight division, as he always fought in the welterweight division for most of his career.
It means that Eubank Jr has to pay £375,000. Benn came on Instagram story, expressing his views: “Show me the money.”
The weigh-in happened in a hotel in London behind closed doors. For the fans, they are set to do a ceremonial weigh-in.
On Saturday, the fight will be hosted at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
