Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) does not feel any problem in making a fight against Ring, IBF, and WBA welterweight champion Jaron Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs).
Last month, Benn had a great fight with Chris Eubank Jr in his middleweight debut. He lost the fight, but earned the respect of several fight fans and pundits.
Both Benn and Ennis are Matchroom fighters, hence, it makes it easier to make this battle. However, Benn has cleared it out that he wants to have a rematch with Eubank first before coming back to welterweight division.
Meanwhile, there are strong talks in the boxing world of Ennis fighting with Teofimo Lopez somewhere in 2025. Lopez beat Arnold Barboza Jr at Times Square on May 2.
Many fight fans were impressed with Lopez outdoing then-undefeated Barboza Jr with ease.
As Turki Al-Sheikh wants to see Ennis vs Lopez first, Benn vs Ennis might happen if they beat their potential upcoming hurdles.
Benn siad The Ring: “That fight can be made.”
“We’re with the same promoter so that fight can be made.”
Benn’s loss against Eubank Jr was so close that a number of fight fans see him doing well in the rematch.
