Ahead of Saturday evening’s fight against IBF champion Williams Scull for the undisputed super-middleweight crown, Canelo Alvarez has made it clear that he is not thinking about Terence Crawford yet, which possibly will happen in September 2025.
Alvarez, with 62 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws, holds one of the best resumes in boxing. For the Mexican fighter, it is a golden chance to become the two-time undisputed super-middleweight champion.
He is the only undisputed super-middleweight champion ever.
Alvarez vs Scull is the main event of Riyadh Season at The Venue Riyadh Season, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is a part of DAZN pay-per-view worldwide.
Alvarez said: “I don’t care about Crawford right now, you know. I’m focused 100% on Williams Scull. Because, you know, if something happens on the fight with Williams Scull, there’s no other fight there. So, for me, in my mind, I don’t have other fight. My fight with Williams Scull is the only one, and everybody knows that, and I need to take care of my business.”
Turki Al-Sheikh has a plan to make Canelo vs Crawford at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S., in September 2025.
For this huge event, Crawford would jump two weight divisions to battle PPV star Canelo.
Not to forget that, Crawford is unbeaten in his professional boxing career with 41 wins in 41 fights. He is a two-division undisputed champion (welterweight and light welterweight).
