Arnold Barboza Jr feels that Teofimo Lopez does not conduct himself like a professional boxer champion on and off the ring.
Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) will face Barboza Jr (32-0, 11 KOs) in a 12-round battle on May 2. The mega ‘Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ event will be taking place at Times Square.
The pay-per-view is a part of the Ryan Garcia vs Rolando Romero undercard. The Devin Haney vs Jose Ramirez is a part of the chief support.
However, all three fights are of the top level. The Ring Magazine has a plan of making them have warmup fights first and then make super fights between Lopez, Haney, Garcia and others.
Barboza Jr said: “I think he’s a good fighter, but I don’t think he’s anything special. I’ve always said it. You know, I think people think he’s gonna beat me. But I’m gonna come out with the upset. I think I’m gonna make it one-sided and people are gonna be surprised.”
George Kambosos Jr is the only professional fighter who has beaten Lopez. The shocking defeat came in November 2021 at Madison Square Garden. However, he has won five fights (no losses) since then.
